- I will see if the export documents are obtanable from when it was imprted from germany - as for the sticker - all vehicles imported into North America have that sticker not just those manufactured in NA- if I cannot get the export docs any otehr ideas ? Thanks so far

To be blunt....this is not true. Below is the photo of the door jamb from my HDJ81 Land Crusier, JZS147 Aristo, and Alpina B8. All three vehicles were imported from Japan. The only sticker there is for the tire pressures.

We are not saying vehicles imported by individuals - those impotrted by Toyota have the stickers A HDJ81 is a JDP -
My 2 Lexus ES330 -with J serial numbers have them as well - ( toyota import ) as do LCs sold in NA ( mostly gas I presume )
 
The build date or first date of registration....

So when you get the deregistration form it will say the date, the most recent one when it was first registered..... You have to go off that
It will be required for you to have this form to even let customs pass it to show its not stolen and such.

You are exempt from the ROV.
