After owning a new 2002 with 300,00+ miles the New England salted roads slowly eat my LC and it tapped out in 2017.

The dumbest thing I did next was to purchase a 2008 Suburban in 2107. After a ton of issues I started my search in 2020 to purchase another LC.

Being I live in New England I looked at a lot of 100 and 200 series LC. The criteria was no accidents and either 1 or 2 owners. I always started with popping the hood first and looking at the rust in the engine compartment and then checking how extensive the rust was on the undercarriage. I walked away from a lot of Land Cruisers.

I finally found a 2013 with 108,000. The previous owner was someone from NY who never used the trailer hitch and can pretty much guarantee the Land Cruiser was never put it in 4 Lo!!

I have an error code question. On my test ride at the dealer I used my OBD2 scanner and pulled a P0171 and P0174 which is bank 1 and 2 are running lean. This is sometimes caused by an air leak. The dealer changed out the oxygen sensors but the error codes persist. P0174 is permanent and P0171 can be cleared but returns.

Has anybody had this issue and what did you do to resolve it.

Thank You

Doug
