IHDFT idle to high? (1 Viewer)

I am a new 80 cruiser owner. New to diesel engines. New to the forum so please be patient with me trying to figure out how it all works.
My 1996 24 valve automatic 260 000 km is a beast... turbo kicks in real well and I just love the drive. I am just wondering if my idle speed is not to high, When I stop the idle speed is just below 1000. Is that normal for this car?
