yes i installed two last week actually.

quaility is good. i like their stuff. curious what price you paying?

but you gotta watch for the correct part.
some trucks have the release close to the edge of the cylinder

others you have to remove the multifunction switch to locate the release closer to the center

thank you for your reply.....the part number i got was from beck arnley site....is correct?

how do i know which one i need before taking the steering column apart?

again thanks

the price i saw on amazon is approximately $33 USD without shipping......

201-1422 is the number I have on file.

Now there are not other options listed for that year. You should be getting the right one.
but before you do, why dont you remove the covers and look at where the release pin is.

for this PN it should be in the front center, very close to the edge. if you see a block off plate, or simply an undrilled hole, then this PN will not work

*FWIW, not that I like NAPA stores, but NAPA carries a strong stocking of all sorts of Beck parts or at least has the catalogs with the part pics. :D

**Yes, Wristy rocks and should go multi-store, but then he'd be more stressed and lose all o what's left of his hair. ;p:lol:

sorry to bring this thread up from the dead....but what is part number for pin further away from the key...my friends 1988 4runner...his pin is further away from the key then mine......but rock auto only mentions part number 201-1422

did toyota make two versions for 1988 4 runner...
201-1422 - pin close the key edge
??? - pin further away from the key edge (closer to the center like WristPin mentions)

Thank you.
