Hi,

I've looked through the posts for snorkels on pigs. They all look neat and I'd like to try my hand at it. I've got a weber carb on mine, and I want to know how people attach the outside pipe to the side of the windshield pillar? What is the minimal diameter size for a black pipe? I've thought about shop vac straight pipe, gutter pipe, and black square downspout pipe. What is the best pipe for snorkels? Lastly, what do you do with the air filter? I'm guessin' the weber adapter doesn't have room for an air cleaner and you have to mount it elsewhere. So, where's it go? Do you latex/glue all the pieces or use clamps? How far under water have you taken a home-built snorkeled rig on a casual basis? I've seen the video of the rig that went all the way down to the windshield top, but that's way more than I plan to. Any other hints about home built snorkels would also be much aprreciated. Thanks for answers! ty

I've got the weber too. I've got the safari snorkel, so I don't know what you want to know about that. Here's a pic of where the intake goes into the stock filter location.

I've got the top that uses the weber square filter so I'm thinking I'll need the adapter to an outlet hose. Anyone know if there's a filter that goes in the adapter? How did you attach the outer part that goes up the side of the windshield? Did you use a kit or fab your own? Thanks for the pics, ty

Casually... over the hood (static, not just wash over). Not so casually, halfway up the windshield (again, static depth, not just washing up the glass due to wake and splash).

Mark...

if your going that deep read the faq the snorkel alone wont be enough good luck

I saw a jeep rubicon today that looked like it had a block under the vertical pipe that attached to the pillar. Anyone ever done this? Any problems with driving visibility with the pipe on the driver's side? ty
