I believe my OZ 80 is cat-free (and ecu free) and it is definitely faster from 20-60+ mph than the CA LX 450. Takes me by surprise every time I jump back into it.

What would a busted O2 sensor do? Mine came loose the other day and looked pretty rusted and it made me doubt whether it was working or not. If there are two, where is the second (or maybe first) located, the only one I've seen is the one right before the cats.

The OZ model. It's like a go-cart. But sometimes it feels like the torque at lower speeds is lacking.

Ozcal, are you saying that your OZ cruiser is carburated? I'm assuming it's the 1FZ.

No it's a 1FZ. Honestly I don't know much about cats. Never had to do any kind of smog check, and they just don't appear to be under there in the same form as the US model. I'll ask an exhaust guy to give me the details - want to check for leaks, etc, anyway. Could be they are there but a different setup?

But man it's peppy compared to the LX 450 (and the old US model 93).

93/94 has two 02 sensors before the cats and would probably not throw a code. 95 and later obdii has a o2 sensor behind the cats to check cat effeciencty. Those trucks would throw codes if the cats are not there.
