How can I identify if this starter I have is 12V or 24V? I have no history on the vehicle that it originally came from, and the sticker on it is not readable. It does appear to be orange in color though. Any help appreciated!

all the orange tags I've seen with the pigtail hanging off have been 24v but that doesn't mean much, there are so many part numbers out there. No history like you bought a pile of parts or did you take it off a truck that does start up? Pretty easy to tell from the trucks wiring, if that wont work. you could also bench test it with 12v and see if it spins too slow.
