As I prepare to install the icon stage 1 lift I have a question about the front shock installation. How do you keep the front shaft from turning while tightening down the lower bushings? The ome has a tab you can hold on top and bottom but there is no such place on the icon shafts. I have impacts and of course hand tools.

No hex on either side and the shocks mount with the shaft facing down toward the ground.

I don't recall exactly, but I installed these pretty recently. I don't recall it being difficult. I think I probably held it with my hand.

Ok just making sure there wasn't something I was missing while looking at them. Just seems odd not to have a place to hold the shaft in place.

Ok I see now that the mounting hardware uses the double nuts to lock it in place. Now it makes sense that holding the shaft like the ome isn't needed. A small amount of force/grip should do it. Sorry I over think things sometimes.

I just zipped them on real fast with an impact, with the suspension compressed. should work for you. If not you can use a vice grip with some rubber or thick leather so you don't scratch the shaft.
