I am in the market for a top for my 72. A fellow here in Fallon has one that he can sell for around 800, but the fiberglass is busted on the driver rear corner, and I don't want to deal with patching it. If anybody else has a top they are trying to get rid of, I will be able to buy it around the beginning of October. It doesn't have to be pretty, as long as it is complete with windows. Thanks,

Chris

I thought about that, but I have heard mixed emotions about soft tops. What company should I look at? Bestop?
I think they are the only choice you have. As far as I know STC is gone.

I like the soft top better than I did my HT. I run topless most of the year and it was always a hassle getting the HT off and finding a place to store it. It's at least a three man job to get the HT off, four is better.

I do wish I still had the hard doors.

That's the thing, I still have the hard doors. The 40 was originally from Montana and a snowy branch destroyed the top several years ago. I usually run without a top also, but the :princess: and the 6 year old can't handle the freezing when we ride in the winter.

I was hearing stuff about the fit of the soft tops. Also, what about tree limbs and things like that, are they pretty tough when it comes to that? I have never had a soft top before and I'm a little afraid of tears and stuff on an expensive top.

:princess: doesn't ride with me much in the winter.

Tree limbs and brush will do a number on the top and scratch the windows. The nice thing about the STC/Kayline top I have is you can zip the windows out. I'm not sure you can do that with the Best Top.

Yeah, mine doesn't ride with me much, but the biggest part is the little one riding with me. He is always with his dad. I guess I'll buy one and try it out. Hopefully it won't be a disaster. I'm ordering it around the beginning of October when I get my bonus, so we will see. Thanks for the help.

I thought about that, but the threads I keep reading are talking about how they wait FOREVER for them to arrive. I would rather have one of the Paki tops, but I kinda need one quick. Anybody have a second hand Paki top for sale? LOL

Would green with white be OK? The headliner is gone and the driver side glass is missing along the rear door handle/lock.
See attached pics. $100. you pick up.

Can't get the pics to upload. Contact me at flexing40@gmail.com or I can bring my laptop to the meeting on Tuesday the 9th.

I'll try again. Maybe editing the post and trying to add an attachment won't work.
Nope, they were to big.

I'll take it! I am assuming you are in Reno right? I can come pick it up Friday evening if that will work for you. Thanks a ton!
