As the title says it's a 1993 and it has 206,000 km The guy selling it is a friend who just did a full head swap (imported from New Zealand) and new timing chain along with a radiator flush and inspection. It has been converted from right hand drive to left hand drive to comply with Chilean requirements. Messed up some of the duct work for the heating/cooling. The heat works, but the windows other than the windshield tend to fog up. The steering damper is broken, and it has the common issue of the electric locking hubs (motor not making contact).

I could buy it for 8 milliones CLP or approximately $9,000. Its overall a bit rough, interior and exterior (hood and front quarter panels repainted and look just a bit orange peely). I'm trying to determine if this is a good price for this rig. I just don't know enough about them.

Hi
More pics under, under the hood and inside would be great to do any assessment, i.p. concerning rust and technical aspects.
The main question to me would be, how good or not good the RH-LH conversion was done.
You plan to use it in Chile?
Cheers Ralf

Hello,

Some LHD conversions are done properly. Others, not so much.

A look at the wiring provides an idea of the conversion quality. If it looks hacked/crudely spliced, it is better to pass. It is worth checking the steering as well.

It is likely that this truck needs extra work. That work can be expensive. Consider that before making an offer.

Do not spend money you cannot afford to lose.
