Hello, I have a 1981 BJ42 that i have owned for 15 years. As it gets older, it seems to seek a bit more medical attention. I have found the following places terrific to deal with and I need to express my thanks by giving their names a shout out to other members.
- Radd Cruisers in Duncan: John and Jason provide a great resource for those hard to find parts and provide a viable alternative to the local Toyota dealership. Even more important is their knowledge of Land Cruisers - it seems like they know them inside and out. They seem to be a busy shop but a bit of patience has proven its worth to me.
- Jas Toora Auto, 552 David Street, Victoria, BC: Jas was a mechanic at Honda for 20 - 25 years and went out on his own. He has good mechanics working with him. Had my injectors serviced, valves adjusted and a host of other items done over the last few years. He`s a man of his word and goes that extra mile.
- Midas Muffler out in Brentwood Bay: Mike Mason is the manager up front - great guy - he`s the contact. Cam, the owner, loves race cars. Darren, a mechanic, is right into Cruisers.
- Kodiak Custom Vehicles: Although not local (Maple Ridge), Cory restored my rig several years ago from ground up. I would not hesitate to have Cory build another project should it ever be in the budget again. Everytime I fire my rig up, I look around and smile. Even my all phillips screw heads are in alignment along my dash. Yes, he likes the details.
- Simon Liew - TLC Import Connection in Winnipeg, Manitoba: I have never bought anything from him but he sure saved my ass this summer! See the 70 section regarding his trip to the Yukon if you are interested. In my brief encounter, he sure seemed to know his stuff.
