Man, I got a long A/C story story, if i told it all to you, it would make you feel better.
But won't go into details.

Don't take it to a shop. I threw in the towel took mine to an A/C shop. They promised to put it inside over the weekend. Went by Fri night, my cruiser's outside doors unlocked. Called the guy at home, he said ok to take home he was done. Started it up, fan blade went into the radiator. The last incident on a very long battle of A/C leak problems.
Bottom line. A/C lines had hairline cracks on the hose end at the ring where the "o" rings rest against. You can take the hoses off and look at them with a microscope and not see the cracks. When the hoses are installed and you tighten down the hoses, that aluminum barb on the aluminum hose end pulls away (seperates slightly) as a result from the torque and exposes a hairline crack. Somewhere down the line someone had over tightened the hoses.
