Ok.. Im gunna need to know what parts you used :) I didn't know Kenwood made such a magical device. I hate this freaking board... and keeping up with the Jones's

Do you have a Kenwood headunit?

If so, look up a RC700A. Nothing to the install at all.

The only problem is that you can’t use it while turning the wheel sharply.

Where did you get it from? I can only find it on some UK sites. TIA

I bought it old stock BNIB from Japan.

As far as I know, Kenwood has used the same remote codes forever.

I got the idea to try it because my old remote from 1999 would control my 2017 headunit. So then I researched from there.

Love the idea but hate the execution. The exposed wiring and inability to "glide" the wheel when coming out of turns would bug the hell out of me. Looks kinda ghetto, IMO. I do like the speaker setup on your dashboard though.

I had a 7" touchscreen Kenwood DVD/NAV system in my previous car (Lexus LS400) and loved everything about it. If it weren't for the integrated NAV/climate controls in my 2002, I'd do it all over again.

I agree with you about the glide part but, I tried every position possible without any major surgery & that was the best comprise.

The wire doesn’t bother me at all but, a picky person may could tuck it in the steering wheel better.

In my opinion the steering wheel is to thick for mounting on the backside. So my 2nd choice was on the cruise control stalk but, reaching it was unnatural.
