Anyone have any idea where I could find a set of 80 series quad headlights? Mainly just need the light surrounds and mounting hardware. Sick of the POS ones that come on the domestic sold 80's. Looking for somthing local if possible

You might find it on Ebay, but you have to type in land cruiser headlights 91'-97'. Usually that works. I've seen those halo or angel eyes before. They also have complete kits with head lights, corner lights and tail lights, which works out a little cheaper.

So it takes the e code H4 light housings for hi/low and H1 housings for H1 high. I had this light combo on a Volvo years ago it was an amazing amount of light.
I have already installed the HIR John deer bulbs in my stock lights and there still underwhelming to say the least.
Yes I am basically peace by peace turning my LX450 into a Land Cruiser to all those that said I should have just held out for a Cruiser (Axel). Should have held out for a Diesel one too.

Have you tried Dave at Japan4x4... I dont know if he can source them, perhaps post in the Classifides and maybe someone from OZ will contact you

Thanks for the pic that is exactly what I am looking for, more components than I thought.
IIRC, Sheldon had a mint pair for sale a year or so ago but it sold, it was a RHD set so you would have had to of sourced the LHD lenses to make them legal here. When I was reading through the thread it looked like you would have to change out your corner lights also as the quad light housing is bigger and won't allow the USDM or JDM's to fit.
There was also talk of having to add the fender turn signals seen on our rigs for some reason, you would have to look into that thou.... Maybe it's more work to get this whole set-up than it's actually worth? But the cool factor would play in

It is not just a case of getting a LHD lense. It is the reflector shape of the headlight housing which usually directs the light beam. When the issue with the headlights first surfaced with RHDs, too many commercial importers, private importers and owners were trying to get around the headlight issue by simply swapping lenses which had the correct DOT SAE markings. CVSE got wise to this and instructed their CVSE officers and inspection shops to also check the housings.

The light's them selves are standard and can be bought anywhere, the parts I need to mount them though is when I am looking for. The 4 square lights them selves are the same as a replacement light for a FJ62 or a Volvo 240. I need all the stuff that converts the front of my truck to accept the light housings, not the light housings them selves.
Yes, all one needs it the LHD housing and lense.
I think you are best to go with Sailer's recommendation rather than trying to fit the housing supports from a FJ62 or a Volvo 240 into a 81 series grill. The stuff on ebay for the 80 series will more than likely be plug and play rather than mod, plug and play.

All the parts used would be from a 80 series, they are all bolt on and require no modification. The light them selves is a part that can be purchased at Canadian tire, like I said it was a light housing used on Volvo's, FJ62, and any other car of the 80's with the quad headlight set-up. The lights are a standard 6.5" x 4" Hella Headlamp Conversion: 165 Mm Headlamp To H4/9003 (Square/H4) [165mm 003177862] - Hella - 003177862
I wish there was a way to get these here but it looks unlikely. If replace what I have now with something other than the Quad lights it would be Depo housings and a Land Cruiser grill (LX450 grill will not fit with Land Cruiser lights). I have another set of GX Quad lamps in my stash, they are mostly brand new parts from Japan. LHD H4 and H1 globes already fitted.
if you want to have some hands on you are welcome come out and play with em to see what you are up against to put em on your LX.. may require change to LC grille.
