I have a 1990 HZJ75 and the wires for the two fuel changeover solenoid valves have been torn off. This is a vehicle that's pretty new to me and the wires were torn off before I got it. I can't see where they were ever connected to though.
The system looks factory, the sub tank, solenoid valves, the dash pod guage on top of the dashboard, etc. The green light on the gauge works when I push the switch.
I've looked on a 1991 HZJ75 that I have, and traced the power source back to a connector near the rear of the engine, on the LHS, just above the starter motor. It then joins into the loom for the reverse switch, the 4WD indicator switch, and the main tank guage.
But the 1990 model doesn't have this connector, and there doesn't appear to have ever been any extra wires in the loom where this connector should be.
So, does anybody know an alternative place where the power would come from on these?
