I just signed up because every time i search for advice, ih8mud always seems to have the most thorough advice.
I have just purchased a beat up 97 hzj75 as my last 91 version was great fun to do up.
This one however had tie rod and drag link issues..aka they were bent as hell!
I have fitted the new drag link, a couple of tie rod ends and straightened the tie rod as it was only slightly bent.
I found after doing this i had a slight clunk which (thanks to this site) i found to be a common problem with the leaf springs moving. However my main issue is when i turn full lock (stationary) the whole front end on that side I'm steering to lifts up a little?
So my questions are..
1. Can the clunking springs be rectified?
2. What is going on with my steering?
Also if it has any bearing on the issue.. this one has the triangular lift shackles.
