hzj75 engine swap

hi, was wondering if anyone knows whether it is possible to bolt in a 1hd-ft motor into a94 hzj75r ute without to many mods. or would it be easier to swap for a 1hd-t. Is there much difference between the two????. Thanks

I'm doing a 2LT swap to 1HD-FT so can't really comment, but I am pretty sure that the HZ and HD have the same block so mounts should be the same. Don't know what transmission you have so don't know about bell housing mating to the HD I would assume they would be the same. I would not think that there would be much difference if any between the 1HD-T and 1HD-FT as far as installation. Just some -FT's have emissions crap.

There has been many 1hz - 1hdft engine transplants here in Australia , yes it will fit in your 94 75 !

Only thing is you will pay big $$$$ for a good 1hdft , have you considered throwing a turbo on your 1hz ??
