Has anyone heard of hydro boost for breaks?
I read about it in a 4wheelin mag which disappeared on me.
I think they were taking them out of an aerostar van.
seemed like a quick bolt on boost for larger tires needing better braking power.

Hmmm
Awesome Missouriman, Maybe thats all i should do. I was just looking for a cheaper way to upgrade my braking power. I've got a 90 SR5 with an 89 IFS front end with 35s on it. I noticed a pretty significant loss of braking power with the bigger tires, even though all new brakes. What kind of booster did you go with? and how much did it cost? any pics?

you already have it then, the 85's had small boosters on them.
so for better breaks you get one from a later model truck that has the one inch master.
but you all ready have that in your truck.

you have to replace them more often but organic brake pads seem to work the best for me.
the long lasting metal impregnated ones seemed to heat up to fast for me.

have you replaced the fluid lately? are you sure there is no air in the system or anything blocking the lines? Could be alot of factors affecting your breaking. I would do a full check up while you are at it.
