OK, so I bought a ‘compatible’ blender door off Amazon. Have had it for a year, and finally caved and took it to a Toyota specialist to get fixed. Somewhere I had read that this was the correct part. It is not, even after swapping the white arms, the connector did not fit.

Repair guy told me that the Lexus and Toyo dealers both told him that the only way to get that part is to replace the whole heater box. Certainly there is an aftermarket part for this.

Am trying to fix the air / heat temperature control. Have both but it is either full bore hot or cold, no mix. System has Code 41.

Any idea on what part number I need and where to source it? One on left is the one I bought, on right is what dealer told him the part would look like.

Wanted to report back that I got it back from the ToyoTech place with a new timing belt and new heater T things. The tech took the old blender out and the plugs do not match up so he just put it back together. For reasons that we ain’t sure of, it works fine now!! Was expecting to have the same issue and was not so happy until I learned that it worked. He was out when I picked it up so the guy who gave it back to me did not know.

Not sure why or what made it work but it works. So nice to have mild heat on!!

Should have planned the drop off better as I had to eat a few days of rental car due to New Years and a weekend but it was worth the wait. Was originally going to use the Lexus dealer but they did not offer a courtesy rental - am supposing it is because of the age of the LX. Nonetheless, even after the rental charges, I saved over $1,500 from what the dealer would have charged for the same work.
