Humming noise from rear of LC200

This is the second time it's happed in about 6 months. Vehicle was sitting for at least 12 hours unattended. I go out to the garage and hear this humming noise, like a small electric motor, coming from the rear of the vehicle. I can't see anything underneath. I get the keys, get in start it up just fine. let run for aminute and turn off the vehicle. Humming stops. What would be making that noise? Anyone else experience this?

It's the fuel evaporation pump. Usually 5 hours after parking. First noticed this on my wife's RX350 years ago. I believe it's in the manual too.

EDIT: It's normal.

FYI - when looking to locate it - look above your spare tire bracket to the right / passenger side, its a black box

Good to know, been wondering what that was. A couple months ago I noticed that mine was making that same noise out in the garage late at night.

there it is right there in the manual. One of the first few pages. Almost word for word from tincan45. funny because I have also been working on the charcoal canister on my 62....no motor on it though.
