I figured that, any idea if the longfield wipers are the 80 series ones too?
I would think so if everything else is the same.

The early 70 series HP front end is different than the 80 series front end.

The only parts that are common between the two are the inner axle shaft seal, the KP bearings, and the wheel bearing grease seal.

The rest are peculiar to the early HP 70 series - ie: gaskets (which are almost the same as the 40/60/70 series), and the felts/wipers are unique to that front end and look like the 80 series but are different in dimension. And, no, you can not make the 80 series one fit as they are quite a bit bigger.

The birf in the early HP70 series is very similar to the 40/60/70 birf, but is a little different in a few dimensions.

gah well this is a pain in the ass.
The early HP70 birfs are similar to the early non abs 80 birfs too?

Nope, the early HP 8" 70 series birfs are similar to the 40/60/70 series birfs as I stated before.

The 80 series birf is a totally different animal. It's much bigger, and no, it won't fit.
