I have tried to find the secret to using the remote start on an ‘09 LX. I believe these were port installed so there is no documentation in the 700+ page manual.

Both the driver window and passenger window have a sticker that says “this vehicle is equipped with a Lexus remote engine starter” (attached) and then it refers me to the manual but there is nothing in there.

One of the key fobs even has a sticker that says engine starter on it (attached).

Anyone have the secret for how this works and what button sequence to press? Part of me wonders if it has been disabled by the dealer.

I found on mine to no rush it either, give it a second between clicks. The third click, you hold it for maybe 3-5 seconds.

Ok this was worth a shot too. Also did not get this to work with either of my fobs. I took a video to see the cadence of the timing. Let me see if I can upload it. Grateful for the input of mud.

Yes, I have tried this cadence too with no luck. I am starting to wonder if it’s disabled in the configuration.
I can’t seem to embed a video because of the size. Suffice to say I tried the less than 1 second lock+lock+lock(hold) and then did it with about 2 seconds lock+lock+lock(hold)
