Haha I wouldn’t want anyone to think I actually know what I’m doing with wiring! I bugged a lot of people about wiring up the seats. I’m out of town for the next couple weeks but if don’t make any progress I can send you my scratch notes on the wiring.

Here is the best video I found and drew my diagrams up this:

I used one of these for the drivers seat to talk with the BMW CanBus system. It has been working out well. I was able to get a hold of the wiring diagrams for the seats and put together something that worked. I’m pretty new to wiring so I was pumped when it worked!

I've went through 3 of these in just over a year. I'm going back to putting up with the timeout. Because when they go out, the seat doesn't move at all. Regardless of if it has just received power.

But I kind of forgot what I did. Lol

If I am understanding what you want to do, put an inline power switch between the fused wire and the seat wire. Turn it on when you want to adjust the seat, and off when the position is fine. I wire tied my switch to the seat frame on the front, below the cushion

Yea, not sure. It was a 5 pack on Amazon. Dont really adjust it that much anyway. The trade off is fine for me.
