As we all know, dirt and moisture make leaf springs squeak, groan or moan. In order to reduce inter-leaf friction, some use graphite and tephlon coating or lithium grease, others go for full length liners and insert tips.

What's the verdict on these solutions?

Ive never really had a problem with noise apart from leaves shifting but that requires a different fix.

My springs groan and squeak so much that people outside the vehicle make comments so I'm glad you asked this question!

My OME lift springs groned excessively, especialy in parking lots when making sharp turns. This was present for many months untill I did some heavy offroading. It seems the workout they got realy quieted them down, perhaps they thought it was punisment?. Btw I had put grease and oil betwen leafs and that made little difference, Looks like the grime and abuse of the trail is whats needed !

Grease seems to be the common short term solution untill it starts to attract more dust.

My OME springs have seen many, many hours of rough terrain and it is when I am crawling over rocks that the noise is the most noticeable. But that may just be the only time I can actually hear all that racket.
