How to make Autool X50+ work?

Some people use the Autool scanner instead of the scangauge.
So I bought myself one because I prefer the shape much more than the scangauge.

After connecting, it goes through all the connection protocols and says that connection failed.

How do I make it work like others did?
I have a 1997 LX450 so definitely OBD2. Could it be that a Land cruiser has a different OBD protocol than a LX?

OK. I just wanted to delete the thread but I don't know how. The reader somehow has made connection. I just needed to click the button when the right profile popped up on the screen. It was J1850 WPW (not PWM). Works now.
