I have an LED in mine. 9 LED festoon from superbrightleds. That is why the white shield is not in place. Just wanted to show how easy it is to get to the bulb!

When I changed mine, I found that pointing it out into the cabin made a hot spot, but pointing it into the dash was almost bright enough. I used a couple of strips of silver Mylar tape over the painted white back surface, and that evened it out perfectly. I used the white plastic shade/diffuser thingy.

Also, superbrightleds.com sells these in different color temperatures. Cool white will turn the red stripe on the heat slider to purple, but warm white will maintain a nice red.

Good note. You can see in the video that my bulb is backwards. Adding some reflective tape would help. I'll keep that in mind
