1st and 2nd are way low & slow, I stepped on the go pedal and it feels like it needs to breath more in order to move, once I changed gear(to 3th) it's all normal. Once in third, that's when the truck really start moving. Is this normal for a truck like this?
Yep, tis normal. You don't feel the turbo doesn't kick in till about 35-40 mph, then it's so-so
I have the same drivetrain in my W350. It's got 265K & still runs great. I've towed my 40 a few times & you can barely tell it's back there. I can't believe you think it rides good
Those front leafs suck & their ain't much you can do about it. I even switched to Skycrapper springs & it didn't help at all
Larger tires & a lift will help a little. That's what I had on my '86 CUCV & it was bearable:
