1st and 2nd are way low & slow, I stepped on the go pedal and it feels like it needs to breath more in order to move, once I changed gear(to 3th) it's all normal. Once in third, that's when the truck really start moving. Is this normal for a truck like this?

Yep, tis normal. You don't feel the turbo doesn't kick in till about 35-40 mph, then it's so-so :meh: I have the same drivetrain in my W350. It's got 265K & still runs great. I've towed my 40 a few times & you can barely tell it's back there. I can't believe you think it rides good  Those front leafs suck & their ain't much you can do about it. I even switched to Skycrapper springs & it didn't help at all  Larger tires & a lift will help a little. That's what I had on my '86 CUCV & it was bearable:

Well, I am talking about the 93 DODGE suspension/ride, which I bought. I don't think I have leaf springs on that thing.

The 6.2 chevy was not aquired at the time. I spoke w/ my buddy and told him that I would get the chevy at the end of the year if he still has it and funds are available. the chevy will be mostly for parts.

You didn't look over it very good then, cuz you definitely have leafs on the front of that Dodge. The pic of my CUCV was to show a mild lift & larger tires helps the ride. I was mainly talking about the Dodge though. Great truck overall & I think his asking price was fair. I paid over 4K for mine + shipping & it had 211K :meh:

I guess I didn't!

thanks for the comments. I feel a lot better.

...Like I said before I don't know much about the diesel trucks and I was affraid that I bought a truck that was not worth what I paid for.

I am plannig on using it as a daily driver and a tow truck.

the 80 needs to rest.
