You push down on the tab in the slot; use a small screwdriver. The clamp has a live hinge at the bottom. It swings down.

yours is still in one piece!? Kudos.

I have one of three that's still in one piece...I consider myself lucky.

and windshield wiper fluid line is in. It’s located near the egr pipe.

I got it opened and off. I’m going down the side of the harness removing the tape and insulation while inspecting the wires. I’m strongly considering moving it totally away from the egr and not reinstalling the plastic cover. This way I can route it far left of the egr and ensure that it’s never near the that pipe again. I’m also considering deleting the back seat heater so I can simplify those hoses. My back heater still works and keeps it toasty on cold rides but the front heater still works and is plenty enough in Alabama. I’m wanting to declutter under the hood as much as I can. I’m even considering deleting that egr pipe and system.

Any advice would be great!

Heat wrap on the EGR pipe and harness, for sure. The new harnesses come with extra heat wrap, over what was there originally.
