I recently drained the previous owner’s custom red/green antifreeze blend and have been running distilled water. I think I’m on my sixth round of distilled water and it still has some color to it. How clean do I need to get it before I can switch to green? I’m tired of checking the weather forecast and being paranoid about driving and I am anxious to be able to park it outside. Is this good enough?

Wow 6 flushes with distilled? Most just flush with regular water and then will do a flush at the end with distilled.

Fill that sucker up with some green. Change it in 12k for cheap insurance.

Did you pull the block plug? What I do is undo the radiator hoses, thermostat, the heater control valve hose, block plug and go to town with low pressure from the garden hose. You can get crystal clear results in minutes!
