Come join me and some Jeep buddies for a weekend of sloppy fun at Creekside Edge ORV Park in Splendora on Jan 28-29! Creekside Edge Off Road Park Splendora, TX

I have never been to this park, but if we keep getting rain like we have, then it should be pretty nasty. We intend to camp Saturday night, weather permitting.

So far we have 4-5 Jeeps and my 40. I sure would like to at least even it out for a tug-of war contest.....:hillbilly:

Post up if you want to join us!

I maybe interested..wow that's way up north.. 59 north right? Hm I'll see if some of my colleagues will join.

Yeah, a little over an hour from Clear Lake. Not too bad...

what time are you guys getting there on the 28th?

Probably late morning. We'll find us a spot to unload and hit the trails.

I live on the north side, I may come out and wheel that day and head home that night, got a race on Sunday.

Cool. I'll PM you my number once we get it all figured out. I'll be in a tan 40 leading a bunch of heeps. :D

Sounds fun. I might be able to come out and join your 40 rocket.

Let me know where you guys meet up before heading out there.

Will do. I usually get gas at the Shell on Clear Lake City Blvd (just east of Hwy 3) when I go out of town. That's as good a place as any.

Oh wow I know that shell station.. It's right by a Walgreens right? You're really close to me, anyways if it's ok I can meet you at that shell station. Who else is near clear lake/ sea brook / friends wood area??

Yeah that's the one. I'll let you know what time I'm heading out. Maybe we could meet up this week for a beer? I started the 40 for the first time in a month and took it to Baytown today. I need to adjust the brakes again...

There are a few folks around here, but they don't post much. The only one I've met is Ron.

I'll post what time we'll be up there when I know for sure, but I'm planning on getting to the park around 11 am.

Hey guys.. Just came back from the Bahamas. And I cant wait to be back on land driving..my

Yes, let me know when I should be at that shell station so we can head out together. I Would appreciate that. Thanks in advance.

Here's an update: It looks like most of the other guys are heading up after work on Friday to get a good campsite. That's fine for them becaue they all live on the NW side of town, but those of us in Clear Lake will have to drive through traffic and get there just before dark.

So....I may go up Friday if I can get out of work early enough - say about 2pm. I'm still trying to figure out the logistics with the kid getting out of school and my gf's work schedule. IF I decide to do that does it work for you guys? Right now, I'm about 50/50 for going up on Friday vs. Saturday morning.

Oh I see.. For sure I can't make it Friday night.. Got work till 5ish. Don't wait on me if u decide to head out Friday but it would be cool cruising alongside another 40.

I may have two other jeep guys following us if u decide Saturday morning.

Dean

I've decided to take Friday off and head up in the afternoon. Dean, call me when you leave on Sat and I'll let you know where to find us. We'll look something like this:

nice rig there Sean! Still pending on this weekend. hopefully I won't have to tend to the family thing this weekend. take lots of pictures.

Ok man. I'm heading up around 1pm. Call me if you can make it. I hope to see another Cruiser!

Yeah, the ole Valdez has been a pretty good rig so far. :D

Made it back just before dark, which is good because my headlights are all muddy. :D

Our recent rain has made things pretty wet over there. There is only one way into the back section of trails. Unfortunately it was blocked because someone busted a drive shaft on a huge deuce and a half and got stuck up to his bumpers the night before so the main trail was impassable. We took an alternate route through a foot of mud with the help of some dude in a jacked-up F-150 on 44s. Lots of 1' deep ponds/puddles with a solid bottom, and a few hidden holes. I had water up over the hood twice. Today we found a mud flat (pond) about 6" deep the size of a football field. Stayed there for a while while people let their kids drive for the first time. It was pretty awesome....

Forgot the camera, but hopefully one of my buddies has pics.
