Trev, If I take the 40 I will most likely do a night run Friday to French Creek and back or???? It won't be a slow run by any means and it will be dark....unless it's pouring rain or snow then sru dat

Holy Cross - September 12th weekend

Just gotta raz Trevor on his "aug 12' date :)!

Won't be able to make the run - yea I know, camping was great last year, and I expect it will be even better this year. A little rain will settle the dust, and shine the rocks up!

I see a good list of RS folks - so where's all the CLC folks? This is a good trip and fun will be had by all!

Darryl

Brent and family will also be coming in their Forerunner. As you recall, Brent was at the Holy Cross trip last year and went to Mt. Blanca with us two weeks ago. Vic

Sorry Darryl, im a Horibble speller, if you cant tell, i edit almost all my posts! :D

let us know if plans change, and Call Andy and get him pumped up! he talks about this one every year!

I wasn't planning to make this trip because I thought my 4runner would be in pieces right now, but the wife's jeep cooling system took a crap, the house needed more paint, and the garage needed to be cleaned out before I could start another project.........So I guess I'm in for this one. :D

What are the camping plans? Was wondering if I should leave the pop-up camper at home? Does everyone camp on the trail Saturday night or head back to where the Friday night camp is? Also might have an extra seat if anyone's rig is down.

Luke, you will have no problem bringing the pop-up. Several bring their 5th wheel campers. We camp in a large area with room for all. Most people show up on Friday night. The trail run is a daytime affair and we return to base camp on Saturday after pretty much a full day's run. I will be leaving COS early afternoon on Friday, passing through W.P. then on to the campsite. Let me know if you want to convoy. I might have someone along who may need your extra seat; will let you know this weekend.

Vic

bringing the pop-up then,I will be leaving Woodland park by 7pm or around there, so I expect I'll be making the trip alone since I'm so late.

the wife is still up and down about going. she may go and just stay at camp until we return. Showed her videos and pics of the trail, she doesn't seem interested, but sometimes she changes her mind. I will post by monday if she is going or if the extra seat is still available. I'm excited!!! yeay!!!

Luke, I'll make other arrangement for the extra seat so don't be concerned about that. There are always a lot of people who drive alone so it should be no problem for 1 or 2 of my friends to find seats. Glad you will be able to make it; it's a fun trail with a lot of fun people along. Vic

where is camp? Is it located close to the trailhead? I will be rolling in after dark friday night, If someone could let me know an easy way to find the group that would be great, thanks. :D

Thank you again Trevor for putting this trip together! Like last year it was a blast and a fine large run for the end of the summer season. The night run was a kick in the pants! CLC is a top notch crew and it's always a good time!!! BTW there are a few pics showing up on the RS site in the "Trip Report" pages
