Glad it went well.

Where was the matrix leaking from?

It looks like you removed the two connector arms from the matrix - on mine it was one of those that was leaking.

When you removed the cowling from around the aircon matrix, was the matrix covered in crud? I got loads of muck and dead flies off mine - I did think of cutting in a hatch so I could access it again without having to remove the cowling.

Cheers

Lowering dash for rust repair under windshield - how much has to come out?

Impressive work. I assume that I need to go this deep to get at all the rust under my windscreen. It is bad enough on my truck that the actual dash has rusted in both corners from water coming in and I can see where it is rusting through on the external body that is hidden by the front of the driver's side door when it is closed. Should I just plan on biting the bullet and removing all of this and then flatbedding it to the body shop? Any recommend other updates while I'm in there?

Cheers,
Rich

Apologies for reviving a very old thread. I've gotten all the way to the heater core, but can't figure out how to get it removed. My BJ70 has aircon, so it looks a bit different. Can't figure out how to pull the two copper lines out. Attached extremely solidly to the heater core. There's also an additional hose clamp on the line to left of photo which I can't figure out how to access. Any help welcome!
