A technical question:
I have an early 1981 HJ47 troopy. The truck does not have a tacho, and looks like it was never fitted with one. There is no threaded hole in the side of the bellhousing for a sensor.
Now, I have an H55 with split transfer and a bellhousing with tacho sensor hole in the yard. I'll fit it one of these days ............ I also have a factory tacho which I'll fit at the same time.
The question is, will the flywheel that is in my truck at the moment have an embedded magnet for the tacho sensor in it? Or will I need to get myself a new magnetised flywheel?
Cheers,
Matt
