I love my OME 2.5" springs, for what it's worth. I used the OME poly bushes with the OME greasable shackles. I don't grease them very often (once every 6 months maybe), but they stay nice and quiet. Your rig is an 81 (assuming it was made after 10/80), so you have the larger spring eyes- just make sure that you get them for 1981-1983 FJ40, and you will be happy.

poly bushings will squeak when the grease goes. Either buy greasable pins when you buy poly or expect to take them apart accasionally or buy oem rubber. You can get poly from SOR or OME. Looks like from the OME catalog that front and rear bushings are the same, so you could buy 24 front bushings for an '81-'83 FJ-40 from the dealer or go poly. Poly is stiffer, also, which is good or bad depending on your springs.
