I have been released from bad spots using a hilift more times than I have been hurt by one...

... I wouldnt wheel without out one in the group.

They've got me out of some hairy predicaments, too . . . . and ditto on not going out without one.

But, it's when some of their "creative" uses go beyond safety limits that they can become very dangerous or even lethal. No different from winches, tow straps or any other recovery gear.

Holy Chit Bman, that is a terrible story and I sense some serious Hi lift hatred.

I keep my little bracket angled instead of straight, well I once fxxxed my entire rear bench seat trying to lift out of a mud hole. It crushed the whole back cushion support area before I figured out why it was so hard to crank. But it's gotten me out of a few sticky situations though. Had my share of tip overs with that SOB too, just have to learn to be careful wit it. Definitely would never get under a vehicle when one is being used.

BAd story for sure. Hilift hatred... NOPE. I love mine. One of the best tools you can carry, IF you know how to use it. 10-4 apparently did not know how to use his and his facial rearangement was the result.

BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THIS TOOL!
