High Rock Canyon either 11/3 or 11/10

Isn't Grassy Valley down there by Hog Ranch, on the west side of the road? Are we coming down High Rock from Stevens Camp? Or coming into High Rock Lake from the south via Willow Creek? I haven't been up 34 since Valentines 1993 so my memory is faded!

Grassy Ranch Road.

It splits off east from SR34 not far past the Petrified Forest and drops into High Rock just south of Stevens Camp. It cuts off a lot of less interesting road travel.
The plan is to camp at the Soldier Meadows Hot Springs.

If we have time I'd like to poke around Fly Canyon and see if we can locate the pot hole.

Looks like we're in for some weather finally. Right on schedule! Not cold enough to freeze the ground, just right for sliding around however.

I missed an important detail. At the meeting we discussed meeting at Bruno's in Gerlach. The plan is to leave Bruno's at 9 am. Is there any need to change the leave time?

The high temp for Saturday is forecast as 39°, Sunday morning is supposed to be 19°.

Now that winter has arrived, how many folks do we have going this week end?

I'm good with whatever since I'm hitch hiking.
Forecast is for snow Friday with a high of 40.
High Saturday is 37 with a low of 16, just warm enough to turn the wet ground sloppy and then freeze our butts off at night.

Well, based on the weather, I think it's best to cancel the run for this weekend.

Probably for the best though.
I'd still like to sneak in an overnight-er someplace before it gets really cold.
Really want to give the new sleeping bag an honest test.
