I didn't hit One Million this morning ...

View attachment 1810750

Sorry --- too much time on my hands.

WOW, very impressive! Any work done to the engine / drivetrain?
What year etc? Don't tell me that's on the 2012 FJC in your signature?
I thought we drove a lot.....

Read my post carefully ... lol. I "didn't" hit a million. Just Photoshop at work.

LOLOLOL wow do i feel slow!
I thought the "didn't" was a typo, turns out I'm just simple!

Cheers

Hit this a few weeks ago, just haven't had a moment to post.
This also puts us well into the 400,000 mile club.

Bought mine with 116000km, now done 153000km. Has made the same taPping sound (not injectors or vacuum valve) since purchase, sometimes i feel like its a little slow compared to some of the others we get traded in here but at the same time im running with extra weight. Had a light misfire when taking off early on after buying. New coil packs, plugs and fuel filter and never happened again

Just bought my 1st FJ, 2010 with 88k, hope to enjoy as many miles as you all!
Should I have the timing chain done around 100k miles or nah.?.

That tapping noise is just your VVT Solenoids actuating ............. just doing their thing. The sound resonates being they are in an aluminum engine block. :)

Everyone thinks its lifters/tappets, something out of adjustment, etc, etc.

My truck just hit 70,000 miles yesterday.

Just hit 235,000 miles yesterday. I have to think my FJ has been my most reliable Toyota to date and the most abused. 95 T100 was a close 2nd.

Well, we finally bit the bullet and traded in the old truck.
It was still running decent but a number of smaller items we're starting to add up.
With the amount of driving we do, we decided it was time.......

The ODO when I dropped her off at the dealer:

We had it since new, 670,000km and not once did it fail to get us home.
R.I.P. old yellow, you served our family well.

s*** over 1000000km, and i thought 160000km was too much to be doing anything to the engine performance wise.

Was it blowing any smoke or any signs or bearings going

Engine all in all was in decent shape, no bearing knock, no piston slap and no blue out the tail pipe.
Even the original timing chain.

That is 670k kilometers, not miles. Check the 110 in the lower and 180 in the upper speedo numbers. If ODO is miles, theose would be reversed.

What did you replace it with?
We traded it in on a 2019 Tacoma (needed the space of a bed and cap for the dogs), the taco has been a great truck so far as well.
The parts manager at the dealership took possession of our old FJC, he uses it as an occasional driver / trail truck, still driving it as we speak.
Last time I talked to him he was over 700,000km.
