cheap and works

I also looked for something to mount the jack to my truck. I was fortunate enough to win the jack at Katemcy Rocks raffle last month just before I bought one. After looking, I went to Lowes. I bought a couple of U bolts (about a dollar a piece) and a bike lock. I shaved the plastic around the lock down so it would snake through the holes in the jack, wrap around the roof rack and it has held in perfect place since I put in on. I know the lock can be cut, but it will take a little time to unwind it...I figure by that time I will have heard the effort and would have time to meet them with a Glock!

Did you have to drill any new holes at all for them tail light covers or did they just fit right on with no hassles?

Thanks

for my tail light covers they just fit right on the passenger side, on the drivers side you have to drill 3 holes on the inside of the panel to fit the screws...really easy, the hardest part was taking off the taillights.

i had a little more time to look at the pics posted. i think i may spend the money for the mount set up above. its got a natural look, like it was born there! good work

lift mount

has anyone tried to mount to the factory roof rack like this?

To make it easier to access the front nut on the passenger side, I drilled a hole on the panel and use a 6" extension on the 10mm deep socket.

Taped the 10 mm deep socket and extension to prevent either one from dropping.

The hole will be hidden when you put the side panel cover back.

The three holes to drill on the drive side, to secure the light guard with self tapping metal screws.

For the drive side, the front nut is accessible from the jack area.

Loosening the back nuts is quicker if you have a set of stubby ratcheting wrench.
