Hi range vacuumed removal

Hi all, I have a bush truck built on a BJ71 chassis with a H55 box running a V8 motor, the vacuum hi range selector on the box has taken a hit at some point and been repaired and now leaking a bit of oil so would like to remove can this be blanked off or does the box need to be striped to remove. TIA.

You’ll need to remove and disassemble the case to convert from vacuum to manual. I bought a conversion kit from Cruiser Outfitters
