ok I know this has been covered and I have exstensivly researched. I am in the market for a 4 inch lift and don't want to go soa. I am thinking hfs or bds, I have been trying to see some shackle angles for the bds kit but have only found a couple and both angles were way wrong!! the hfs kit seems to get the angle right. I guess I want a spring eye to eye measurement of the hfs kit, I already have the measurement of the bds. thanks for the help.

On the CCOT web site, they talk about the fact that they made the springs longer to get the shackle angle correct.

Have a set at the shop and will measure them in the AM.

This is what I came up with....

FRONT 4" HFS SPRING

41.5" Center to center of spring bushings, measuring from one to the other strait accross, NOT following the arc of the spring...

REAR 4" HFS SPRING

41.75" Center to center of spring bushings, measuring from one to the other strait accross, NOT following the arc of the spring...

Hope that helps!

thanks, I found the bds were 40.375 according to the sales rep. why don't they just make them slightly longer so we get the correct shackle angle!!! I gues I'll be going with the hfs kit.

X2 for what Black Dog said. I have the BDS 4" springs and they are very stiff. They came with the truck so as soon as time and money permit they are gone. My kidneys can't take much more.

What about the superlift 4"...anygood?
