I purchased the A343F/HF2AV for my 4runner and did not notice this bit of damage. I do not need the speed sensor. Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this short of a new housing?

The "correct" method would be to replace the housing.
It might be possible to weld and re-grind it. Find someone in your area that is good at welding aluminum and have them look at it.

Got any idea what would a new or used housing would cost me?
If you don't need the speed sensor, then just weld it up. No reason whatsoever to replace the housing.
A new extension housing lists for $505.46. Net $379.10.
