Well, the first kick below the belt just came in. In the area where the frame was 'extended', it's also decided to rust away. Pretty badly, but I've seen (and driven around on) worse. I guess? I'm sure I can fix it, whether it can be done with the cab on is another story... Not looking good there. I wasn't really planning on going this far with this thing... Haha. How many of these builds contain that line?
Upon deeper inspection, one of the blue doors is showing some damage. It's pushed in a bit, and has a little square patch riveted on up by the window opening. In the pic, it's on the dirtier door. It's nothing terrible, but that, along with a few other minor-til-they-all-piled-up issues, maybe these are decent half-door candidates after all. I'd be interested to know what people think on that one.
At least half of me wants to just clean up and matte clear some of these red pieces. The patina is pretty killer. But, I kind of had my heart set on painting this thing since the day I got it. Decisions.
