There is no way that truck will bring 900 at an auction. If you sold it as is it might bring 400

I think $900 is a crazy buyback price, then again I thought $1,400 was crazy buyback for my 4Runner. Yours appeared to have less damage, was your frame bent?

The adjuster said it takes a couple of weeks for them go to auction. I sent them the title last week and they have to re-issue a salvaged title. Once they have that, to the auction it goes. I do believe the auctions are public. You might check their website.

No frame damage that I know of, but it is possible. Here is what the insurance damage report reads. There is also damage to the front of the bed where my spare tire bounced around quite a bit.

198x base model PU < 2001 4runner.....by much more than 500$

Usually the auctions aren't public, and i cant imagine it going for more than $300.
