I should be in either weekend, can we get some details in general though for us new to CO folks? Trailsoffroad.com came back with nothing.

Hermit Pass is an up and back road, once went over the Sangres but is now blocked at the top. It is a very rocky road but not technically difficult. Great views of the Westcliff valley from the top. Fishing along the way is fair. In Westcliff, you can see a long straight road heading west out of town, this is Hermit Road which leads to Hermit Pass. I can make either the 14th or 21st work for me. BTW, this is Bill with the white 79 40.

Some co-workers of mine who were going to come with me all rearranged our call schedules to be able to make it on this Saturday. So we're committed to Saturday and can't switch. So it's ok if you guys need to switch weekends, we'll still plan on going up Saturday and try to catch a run with you all next time. Alternatively, if it does switch weekends I was also thinking of trying Mosquito Pass before it closes for winter, if anyone wanted to form a group for that.

Heya Bill @ICD FJ40 glad you joined up on Mud!

Hey guys, ya'll may have seen a recent post in the 40 section or not, but I've got a Rear Main Seal leak to fix before I can do any wheeling. Looking forward to getting out with the group.

Sorry for the late response. I can lead this one this Saturday, 10/14. Bill's trail description above is right on.

Meeting will be at our South location - Safeway at S. Nevada and Cheyenne Blvd. I would suggest 7:30 meet and 8:00 departure. It's a long drive to Westcliffe.

Ham freq.: 146.580
CB chan.: 4

Let me know what you think.

We had a great time. Thanks, Sam, for leading! Here’s a few photos from the trip. We got to do a little trail maintenance in the form of a dead tree fallen across the road.
