I'm traveling with the family from Tennessee to Oregon. We are doing our own version of the Trans-america Trail. Before going over Cinnamon and Imogene Pass this weekend I noticed a noise from the front wheel bearings. Sure enough it's getting worse. The 1300 miles of gravel we've traveled so far hasn't helped them I'm sure. Quoted $500 or more from the local places as they know I'm a tourist.
I have all parts but I lack some of the tools - hub bolt socket and torque wrench to be exact. Also lack experience - I've never replaced bearings but am a competent DIYer and have read here how to do it.
Let me know if you're near. I have cash and can pick up beer. Thanks, Jesse

Please call as I don't have internet most of the time. 423.503,8949

Looks like he got help from some guys in the 80 section - good luck on the rest of the trip!
