Help with rear heater in 1974

I am reinstalling my rear heater in my 1974 fj40.The motor seems to have 2 wires? was one the ground? Mine also seemed to have a resistor attached. Since I disassembled in many years ago, don't remember how it was installed or even how it is supposed to function.

Should be a 2 speed fan I think. The resistor drops the voltage for low speed.

[Living in the Past]

Negative is made thru the heater housing when it's bolted to the tub. Two wires equals two speeds. Unfortunately 74 are only wired for single speed. It runs when the front heater is on high. Previous years rear heater had a separate switch.
