Help with CB/antenna

Hi all. Picked up a Kraco CB radio from 1975 today at a yard sale for under 15 dollars. It works, and seems to receive even though I don't have an antenna on it. I plan on putting it in my FJ62 Land Cruiser, but I was a little worried due to its age it may not be a standard antenna connector I have attached the picture to this post. Would this work with just any CB antenna?

Pretty sure it will. Take it to Radio Shack or a shop and check.

Looks standard. . Should be fine. I wouldn'y operate without an antenna however or test. Someone can correct me, but thought that was integral part of safe operation for the radio.

Looks like a regular chassis mount for the standard pl 259. Transmitting without an antenna will ruin the radio.
