I'm about to pull the trigger on some new treads.

I have a local farmer that installs them for $10 a piece, so my plan is to order them online.

I've pretty much decided on the 285/75 -16 BFG All Terrains. The problem comes in the details found at various sites. I want to make sure I'm comparing apples to apples.

So,

Tirerack.com shows:

1 tire at 285/75QR16 = $179 +shipping

1 tire at 285/75RR16 = $175 +shipping

discout tire shows

285/75R-16/D1 122R = $182 shipping included

What are there differences with these tires?

Thanks

Chris,

Long time no talk, how have you been and how was your hunting season?? I haven't seen the first two, but that doesn't mean much cause I'm not that well versed. I think that you want the 285/75R-16 D. The D is the load range and is what you want for your cruiser.

D's a great load range for tires. I use E's on the 70 and they're probably a bit of overkill as I rarely fill the tires to 60+psi. I just ordered tires online too and had a question about them. I called the supplier and they happily called their tire rep, got the answers for me and called me back. Perhaps you could do the same if you need assitance.
