Hi, Toyota lovers as the title of my post says I'm trying to get a copy of the bill of sale for my Land Cruiser.
I'm in search of this document because my car was imported from the US in 1985 as a diplomatic vehicle, because of this it was exempt of taxes until the diplomatic mission was finished, once this happend the vehicle had to pay taxes and in order to this it had to go through customs.

This is where my problem begun for some reason I do not understand (and cant be explained by customs officials) the documents they issue have the vin number with one added letter and did not take into account the Chassis number or the engine number, because of this mistake all of the proprietary documents carry the same mistake and in order to have this fixed they (customs) have asked me for a copy of the bill of sale.

Does any one know how I can get this? I know the vehicle was bought in the US.

I appreciate all your help, thank you for helping get my papers in order.

simply make a new one up

do what you have to do to get by and put this red tape mess behing you

bottom line

don't tell a soul what you had to do

mumm is the word

my approach anyway

Thanks Toyota Matt I thought about that too but I'd at least need an example of an invoice to go by, if anyone could share theirs I'd be extremely grateful.
