Hi guys,
The company that I have been contracting to for the past year and a half is looking for some more assistants. It is not a large company but they have a very demanding and large contract.
The Job:
Service of CNC milling and lathe machines. To be honest, it is not clean work, you are in contact with the usual grease, oil, coolant and solvent products, there is some heavy lifting. Most of the work is preventative maintenance as well as rebuilds of components due to a machine crash or normal wear and tear. There is almost no limit to the fields since the systems are Hydraulic, Air and Mechanical.
Location:
CAPTIN (branch of Toyota Canada) on River Rd. between Alex Fraser bridge and the tunnel.
They are the main manufacturer of Aluminum rims for the North American Toyota market.
Requirements:
Mechanically inclined (does not need to have experience in this field specifically but knowing what a 3/8 driver is, is needed), ability to listen, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, a sense of humor helps and you need to be able to get to site.
The guys I work with are more then willing to teach about the machines and their operation, which means you get paid to do something people go to school for and there is room to move up.
For now they are looking for a part time person, usually Thursday - Saturday, usually 7 or 8am to 5-6pm unless something drastic happens, but the more you learn and get to know the machines the more work there is.
Pay:
Depends on your level of skill. As a start the work would be on a contract basis (work, invoice, get paid)
If anyone is interested give me call 604.803.3506.
Thanks
